Barbeque grill mats are the best solution available, for making Grilling easy. I got a new gas grill this spring, and have used grill mats each time I fired up the grill. Consequentially, my grill surface is clean, and looks new. If you barbeque chicken or pork ribs, then you know what a mess that leaves behind. Even grilling a steak, leaves a lot of messy burnt fats and charred meat bits behind. I barbecue on grill mats, and never have a problem with clean up. After the grill cools down, just sit the grill mat to the side. Scrape off the fats, burnt BBQ sauce or whatever, then take the mat under the hot water in the sink, and rinse it off. It’s ready to go again. Each side of the grill mat is covered with cooking grade silicon, so food messes just slide off the surface. The grill marks sear right thru the BBQ mat, onto the meat or veggies. The only warning I might give, is be careful with open flame grills, coz you don’t want flames to touch the silicon. I have an infra red grill, so I’ve never have a problem with that. (Flare ups on an open grill, is going to be the issue.) Each mat is good for at least 10 – 15 grillings, on both sides. After 10-15 times, you end up rubbing off some of the silicon from the fiberglass cloth the silicon coating rests upon. Along with the mats is included a silicon brush for your BBQ sauce. I like this silicon brushes, since they make cleaning off old BBQ sauce very easy. Little bits of food don’t get caught at the top of the brush, like used to happen with boar hair brushes. I think everybody who grills, will find these to make clean up a breeze.
